BILLABONG PRESENTS 5TH ANNUAL WEST SIDE JAM 2012

SINGAPORE, January 30, 2012: Dates for the 5th annual West Side JamTM triple
wake championship have been confirmed for 3 – 4 March 2012.
West Side JamTM has showcased pro wakeboard and wakeskate heavyweights from
the United States, UK, Australia, Italy, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan and
Singapore showing off their skills and battling it out for their respective crowns in
the Open, as well as Freeride, Wakeboard and Wakeskate categories.
These include Asian wakeboard heavyweights Padiwat “Bomb” Jaemjan (defending
champion, Open Mens Wakeboard) and Tatsanai “Aye” Kuakoonrat from Thailand;
14-year-old international wakeboard and wakeskate phenomenon Daniel Grant; as
well as wakeboard MVPs Erik ‘Gator’ Lutgert, Kyle Rattray, AJ Racinelli and Colin
Harrington from the US.

“We are very pleased to announce the confirmed dates for West Side Jam 2012,”
says Ryan Lee, Managing Director of Maxout Hydrosports, “We expect a spectacular
showing again, and as always we are thankful for the overwhelming support we
have and continue to receive from both local and international wake communities.”
The weekend-long championship and lifestyle festival will take place in Singapore,
at the Raffles Marina on the western coast of the island. The marina’s super-yacht
dock will be transformed into a waterfront arena for the weekend.

Peter Thew, Brand Manager Billabong Asia, as headline sponsor said, “We’re really
happy to be able to come in and support the Maxout crew for this year. It’s a really
strong and important core wake event, not only for Singapore, but for the region.”
Admission to the event is free to public and spectators can expect to be entertained
by the competition on the water, as well as by festival fringe entertainment and our
sunset closing party with music by Pushin’On DJs Shellsuit and Chunk.

Sponsors at time of release include title sponsor BILLABONG, venue sponsor Raffles
Marina, co sponsors Planetary Coral Reef Foundation, HTC, Nautique Water Suites
and The Board Shop. The competition is sanctioned by the Wakeboard Association
(Singapore) and the Asian Wakeboard Association (AWBA).
Qualifying rounds will be held on 3rd March 2012 with the finals on 4th March 2012.
At time of release S$10,000.00 in cash and prizes have been confirmed.

INTERNATIONAL WAKEBOARD CELEBRITIES COMPETE FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE 4TH ANNUAL WEST SIDE JAM EVENT LAST 11-13 OF MARCH 2011.

WSJXI showcased the best wakeboarders from the United States, UK, Australia, Italy, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan and Singapore battling out for the crown and bragging rights in the Open Wakeboard as well as Open Wakeskate categories. Local wakeboard and wakeskate competitors also compete in the Freeride Wake divisions.

The highlights of the WSJXI event foreign competitors include 13-year-old international wakeboard phenomenon Daniel Grant, wakeskate legends Aaron Reed and Danny Hampson from the United States, as well as Asian wakeboard heavyweights Tatsanai Kuakoonrat and Padiwat Jaemjan from Thailand.

The marina’s super yacht dock was transformed into a waterfront arena where festival-spectators and wakeboard enthusiasts alike were entertained by the competition and premier participants showed off their skill on the water, and also festival highlights such as swimwear show, wakesurf demos featuring a special four-legged ‘surf’ team, jet ski and banana boat rides, as well as a memorable sunset party with music by Pushin’On DJs Shellsuit & Chunk and The Bamrah Brothers.
