From its humble beginnings with just 2 small boats, Maxout Hydrosports have since come a long way. It was first established out of a common passion for the sport of wakeboarding among a few buddies back in early 1997, sharing a common belief that wakeboarding was more than just a side-show to water-skiing. In fact, the Maxout partners were probably one of the first few ardent wakeboarders, starting out as recreational riders, who decided to bring their ardor for the sport one step further. They saw the potential of the sport and knew that they could bring it to a whole new level, thus the birth of MAXOUT HYDROSPORTS, Singapore’s first water-sports center to cater specifically to wakeboarding. They have never looked back since.

The wakeboarding scene has always revolved around the northeast areas of Singapore. Our first beginnings were on the grounds of Pasir Ris Beach Park. Since the first wakeboard made its debut on the waters of Singapore about twelve to thirteen years back, the sport of wakeboarding has changed the local sea sports scene in a huge way. We saw the influx of more wakeboarding operators and private boat owners within the northeast region of the island. It was overwhelming to see such a tremendous growth in the sport. However the problem of overcrowding on these waters soon arose. The designated water ski and wakeboarding sites around this region were teeming with boats, wakeboarders and skiers. Safety naturally became a great concern for all. We therefore took the initiative to transport our operations to the west end, free from the hustle and bustle found at the other end of the island.
